In Fall of 2005, Joyelle McSweeney interviewed Barbadian poet Kamau Brathwaite for Rain Taxi. Brathwaite remains one of Caribbean poetry’s elder statesmen and their conversation covers Hurricane Katrina, his style, and developing interests in Nature and Technology in his poetry. See here for the interview and then watch Brathwaite read a selection from Born to Slow Horses (Wesleyan University Press).
